Newport Beach, California, PRstore to Demystify Marketing for Small Business
Newport Beach, CA (PRWeb) January 14, 2007 -- When the Newport Beach franchise of the PRstore officially celebrates its Grand Opening on February 7, small business owners in the Newport Beach area can, for the first time, shop a trendy retail showroom for an array of high quality, affordable marketing products customized just for them.
A new retail concept, the PRstore provides an à la carte menu marketing tools, promotional products and expert advice to small businesses, non-profits, civic groups, faith-based organizations and individuals who do not traditionally utilize full-service ad agencies and public relations firms. Operating in a casual retail storefront setting located at 4678 Campus Drive, next to Starbucks, the PRstore fills a void for services in the wide gap that exists between the free-lancer and the full-service agency, according to Newport Beach store owner Dan Neavitt.
"The need for these services among start-ups and the small business community is both critical and long-standing," Neavitt said. "The PRstore's products and services are designed to meet all the most common marketing needs from consulting to concept development to writing and producing traditional printed materials like brochures, newsletters and press releases as well as design and production services for logos, letterhead, web sites, print ads -- even radio and TV spots.
Neavitt said the PRstore offers professional marketing services traditionally available almost exclusively through formal and often costly arrangements with full-service advertising agencies or public relations firms. "All our products are customized to fit the needs of the client," Neavitt said. "Our professional services are delivered in a casual, walk-in retail environment designed to be friendly and non-intimidating. The PRstore is also unique in that our marketing services are offered on a one-stop, turnkey basis with everything being available under one roof."
Unlike traditional ad agencies and PR firms, appointments are not needed at the PRstore. Walk-ins are encouraged. Lavish conference rooms are non-existent. There is never a discussion about retainers. Small business owners simply choose the marketing services they need from a broad range of custom products.
Using the PRstore's exclusive "Prioritize Your Marketing" formula, experienced marketing professionals are available to guide customers who may be unsure about how to maximize their marketing dollars. Rounding out its offerings, the PRstore also carries a full range of specialty advertising items that can be imprinted with a company logo. Customers are able to view extensive displays of samples in the showroom, making it easier to assess the actual product compared to seeing a picture in a catalog.
The 1,200 square foot Newport Beach store, the first of several in Orange County, will be supported by the PRstore's DesignCentral unit. Based in Charlotte, DesignCentral is a centralized staff of designers, copywriters, promotions specialists, printing coordinators and other professionals who serve as the behind-the-scenes creative workforce offering agency-style services for all PRstore locations.
The Newport Beach PRstore is part of a national franchise program launched in August 2002 by PRS Franchise Systems, LLC. The company's flagship store opened in Charlotte, North Carolina, in that city's thriving banking district in 2001. More than 300 stores are expected to be in operation in the next five years in high-traffic retail areas around the country.
Neavitt said the PRstore concept is part of a business trend that has emerged over the past decade catering to the desire of business owners and consumers to self-direct their own projects in a number of areas.
"This trend has spawned several highly successful formats, including market-leading companies such as Kinko's, Staples, Office Depot and The UPS Store," Neavitt said. "The PRstore is the latest entry into this category." The Newport Beach location of PRstore will celebrate its Grand Opening on Wednesday, February 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. Media are invited to attend a Media Day on January 24, 2007.
